The Poker industry has taken a serious kick in the teeth of late and the person that might just bring the online Poker industry down won’t be from within the US Justice Department, but from Poker itself, namely Phil Ivey. A successful lawsuit against Tiltware (FullTilt Poker) would hurt them financially, but the knock on

My WSOP title dreams
So you think that you are good enough to take on the world at Poker? You and me both, but then reality kicks in and a massive re-think starts. But why? Why are you not good enough for world class Poker when there are more and more sites offering Poker schools, Free practice games and loads and loads of Freerolls.
My Poker skills are legendary and frankly it’s a wonder that I’m not already the WSOP champion as I have played in a few live games and won and have also taken on the Freeroll and won. If that is all it takes, then I’m your man (woman that is). The incentives are there and the prize money is a staggering $180,000,000 split throughout the tournament. Surely this is my chance. I could even play through a Freeroll satellite and win my seat in the main event and collect Free cash for doing so.
Basically there is no excuse why I haven’t entered and that’s a sad fact. OK, I might have exaggerated about my legendary Poker skills, but the rest is true, yet I still think that the WSOP is a number too big for me. At the end of the day the satellites are just like any other Poker game that I’ve played in. I see the table and the cards played and I zone out and do my thing. Win or lose it’s fun and it’s what Poker is all about. True, if I get further up the WSOP ladder then the pressure would mount and the level of play would improve, but if I don’t get to that stage then there’s nothing lost. In fact I stand to gain in experience and I get to say that I played in the run up to the WSOP.
Getting myself to the final tables would have been tough, but there would have been no or very little expense to me, especially if I had gone for one of the package deals that GirlClubPoker have been posting. Free travel, cash to go, main event ticket and hotel and I get to keep what I win when there. It really is an opportunity that I have thrown away as I didn’t play in the satellites and I don’t have $10k to get me in the game in Las Vegas now.
But just imagine if I had tried, fame fortune and all doing what I actually can’t wait to do when I get home, Poker. But, I didn’t and this year I have lost out on being the WSOP 2011 champion because I didn’t believe in what I could do. No title, no cash and no $9 million cheque to walk a way with. It’s a sad tail and one that I will learn from, because we all have a chance at the title, or at least a shot at a main event ticket with all that it comes with.
WSOP 2012 is shot at the title and this time I’m going to make the effort.

My journey into Poker
OK bad news for all you online players that have been emptying my poker account over the past months, weeks and years as I am going to get some help and start the fight back into a poker world that has singled me out as an easy target.I am going to be documenting my learning journey back into the fold so that my poker skills take me to a new hight (which at the moment is as pot filler). Don’t get me wrong, this is not me asking for help to be the next WSOP champion, but just a player that understands the rights and wrongs in poker and one that holds on to her cash just a little longer.

Mention the word poker to most people who don’t play and they instantly envisage cigar smoke filled rooms and five or six gangster style blokes sitting round a table playing for bags of cash. Not the controlled environment with skilled players of all ages and sex sitting round a table playing for a tournament or

Poker forum. A Free £1 to play Bingo with No Deposit needed doesn’t sound much, but when you consider that you get to choose Penny Bingo or have 10p tickets to £500 games, then the Free £1 is a good deal. Where are the Free No Deposit Poker games? Where is the Free incentive for

I would like to know if there is someone that disliked offline poker before and likes it now. I am an introverted person and could not imagine myself playing an offline game. I like to play at Poker Host since they have a girls only cash game for free, maybe we will see us there!

Women in Poker short stories
When an outside figure (a woman) enters the playing field of poker and well, dominates the game, a fabulous in your face moment for the fairer sexes takes place. Meet Annie Duke, a true poker legend in the making, who after winning $70,000 in her first month of tournament playing realised that she had something to offer the game, so moved to Las Vegas to take up poker professionally.
Now established as one of the best poker players in the world, she has won the World Series of Poker (WSoP) title and has won an estimated $5 million in tournaments. And the greatest part is, she originally took up poker to cover her mortgage. Hats off to Annie Duke! -
